At Alkanatur, we believe that everything starts with the essentials: water. We were founded with the mission of offering products that transform the way people drink and enjoy water, caring for both their well-being and the planet.

Our purpose is clear: to improve quality of life through innovation, science, and sustainability. That is why every Alkanatur product is designed with toxin-free materials, backed by independent studies, and designed to respect the environment.

We are a company founded in late 2015, but our history goes back much further.

In the 1990s, a trip to Japan changed the way we thought about and saw the world.

On this trip, we discovered ionized alkaline water. Alkalization and ionization devices were very popular in Japan due to their properties. In 1965, the Japanese government declared alkalization and ionization equipment to be medical devices suitable for certain therapies. Wellness enthusiasts consumed it, recommended it, and its use spread to hospitals throughout the country.

Unfortunately, this equipment was very expensive and not affordable for everyone.

The East was our source of inspiration, and thus Alkanatur was born.

In April 2016, we launched the first Alkanatur Drops® line, designed and manufactured in our homeland, Galicia. That year, we took a pioneering step in Spain by creating the filter and alkalizing jug with UNE 149101 certification, analyzed in the Oliver Rodés laboratory and made with certified materials.

Our filters, which are eco-friendly and chemical-free, represented a sustainable alternative for daily water consumption. In addition, from the outset, we have allocated part of our resources to scientific studies at universities and research centers, thus reinforcing our commitment to innovation and well-being.

2016 – 2018 I The next steps

After launching our first Alkanatur Drops® line in 2016, we began to grow and listen more and more to our community. We soon identified a need in areas with hard water and developed the low-emission filter, which joined the family to respond to those who wanted an option adapted to their daily lives.

These early years were key to consolidating our commitment: to design and manufacture eco-friendly, chemical-free, certified products in Spain.

2017 I Internationalization

Our expansion beyond Spain began to take shape when our jugs reached the Chilean market as one of our first destinations outside our borders. Since then, Alkanatur has continued to grow and is now present in more than 10 countries, including Portugal, Canada, the United States, Italy, France, and Mexico.

2018 – 2020 I Water in the shower too

After consolidating our jug and its different filters, we took another step forward by expanding the Alkanatur experience to personal care. During this period, we launched our shower filters, available in two models with different filtering capacities, designed to adapt to every home.

With these filters, we ensured that pure, toxin-free water also reached the skin and hair, reducing exposure to chlorine and improving the shower experience. It was a breakthrough that reinforced our vision of comprehensive well-being: not only drinking better, but also taking care of ourselves from the outside with the same filtering quality.

2020 – 2022 I New systems and more solutions

During this period, we expanded our vision by taking filtration technology to the next level. We added Depure® ultrafiltration systems and our reverse osmosis system to the family, designed for those who wanted the highest quality water directly in their homes.

At the same time, we continued to diversify our catalog with products that complemented everyday life: borosilicate bottles, reusable containers, and accessories that promoted a sustainable lifestyle.

These years were key to establishing ourselves as a leading brand in filtration and wellness solutions, always faithful to our philosophy: innovation, sustainability, and science at the service of people.

2022 – 2024 I Social and environmental commitment

During these years, we have not only continued to innovate in filtration technology, but we have also wanted to take a step further in our commitment to society and the planet. We have launched special editions of our jug in two new colors:

  • Pink Jug, created to support the fight against cancer. With each purchase, we donate a portion of the profits to the Contigo Contra el Cáncer de la Mujer Foundation, thus contributing to research and awareness about this disease.
  • Green Environment Jug, launched on June 5, World Environment Day. A limited edition that symbolizes our connection with nature and our commitment to sustainability, inviting reflection on the importance of caring for the planet.

    These initiatives reflected our vision that water is not only about well-being, but also a tool for positive change, capable of generating social and environmental impact.

    2025 I News

    This year, we continue to expand our range of solutions with the launch of the clinoptilolite zeolite filter, designed to offer even more comprehensive filtration tailored to our customers' needs.

    In addition, we have strengthened our certifications and quality controls, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards.

    The Alkanatur family continues to grow, consolidating its position as a benchmark in alkaline, clean, and sustainable water for every home.

    OUR GOAL

    At Alkanatur, we want to protect the environment and fight climate change. We work to prevent the massive waste of single-use plastics that pollute our landscapes and ecosystems.

    Each Alkanatur Drops filter is equivalent to 400 liter bottles that end up at the bottom of our oceans.

    We also care about people's well-being.

    We work with the best materials for your safety and peace of mind, invest in scientific research to prove that we have the best water filtration and alkalization products on the market, and promote local trade and employment.
