The consumption of a good filtered, alkaline and ionised water is positive for our health not only because of its characteristics of a high pH and antioxidant capacity, but also because a correct purification process is the basis of good water.
Tap water, as we all know, contains chlorine, heavy metals and other toxins which, as well as giving a bad taste, are harmful to our bodies.
Bottled water is closest to the concept of ‘healthy water’, although it is erroneously claimed to be. Bottled water containers are of low quality and the microplastics they contain migrate directly into the water and are diluted in it. The concentration of microplastics in water - and in food, clothing and even air - is a matter of immeasurable concern today, given the massive contact and exposure we have to them.
Concentrations of microplastics, which function as very stable molecules -Persistent Organic Pollutants-, are very long lasting in the body. They degrade very poorly and it takes too long for the body to expel them.
