To test urine pH: Test on an empty stomach using the first urine of the day. Dip the strip into a urine container. Read the result after 15 seconds. A normal reading is between 6.75 and 7.25.
To test saliva pH: Test on an empty stomach. Place a small amount of saliva on a spoon and dip the test strip. Read after 15 seconds and compare with the color chart. An optimal reading is between 7.0 and 7.5.
Results: A reading of 7.0 is normal. Below 6.5 is slightly acidic, and below 6.0 is highly acidic.
Note: In either case, to find an accurate average, it is recommended to perform the measurements over 3 days.
