Our Alkanatur jug and filter components have been analysed by prestigious entities such as the I.C.G. - University of Santiago de Compostela.
With our Alkamicronized Selective® technology, analysed by ICG (Ceramics Institute of Galicia), we are able to filter 400 litres of water up to 99% free of chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, nitrites, heavy metals such as lead or mercury, trihalomethanes, among others.
Our filters use coconut activated carbon, a totally natural product obtained from the shell of this fruit. As a plant-based product, it contains no heavy metals or chemical compounds and therefore does not add calcium or sodium. It does however add 100% bioavailable premium quality magnesium.

What is ion-exchange resin?
Ion-exchange resins are synthetic, petroleum-drived gel spheres (benzene and styrene) that exchange specific ions for other ions.
Most conventional jugs contain ion-exchange resins in their filters.
These brands, many of them multinationals, defend the use of this type of chemical elements in their filters by claiming that their toxicity does not migrate into the water. However, we challenge this claim. Water is the universal solvent, and it is very easy for any element to migrate into the water. Similarly, microplastics can migrate from bottled water containers or from unsafe containers that are not certified as toxin-free plastic.

This is the Maintained Antioxidant Capacity, that is, the amount of antioxidant that our body will maintain once the alkaline water has been ingested.
Unlike other systems that have a bioavailability of 10%, the CAM system of the Alkanatur Drops jug takes advantage of 77.7% of the antioxidants generated during ionisation towards the areas affected by free radicals.

What type of water do you drink?
Do you know that it may contain chlorine, heavy metals, microplastics, solid waste and other elements that are toxic and harmful to health?
All bottles contain hormonal pollutants. They emit a relevant amount of toxins into the water called endocrine disruptors: bisphenol A, phthalates, among others.
This was demonstrated in the analysis of bottled water published in Environment International, carried out by the Institute of Biosanitary Research of Granada in 2015.
The laboratory analysed the hormonal activity of 29 samples of bottled water marketed in Spain, with different springs of origin and impeccable marketing of ‘natural mineral water’. The results showed that they all demonstrated hormonal action.
In 2019, the scientific journal Frontiers in Chemistry published a study which found that microplastic particles are much more frequent in mineral water than in tap water. The study tested water from 11 international brands purchased at different locations in different countries. In total, 259 bottles were tested and 93% of these showed some sign of microplastic contamination.
They ranged from 325 to 10,000 microplastic particles per litre of water and although these particles are also found in tap water, in bottled water their presence is doubled.

In the ANIBES Study, coordinated by Gregorio Varela-Moreiras, president of the Spanish Nutrition Foundation (FEN), it was determined that a significant percentage of the Spanish population, around 80%, does not reach the recommended intake of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. Before purchasing a system to alkalinise, purify, ionise or hydrogenate water, ask the seller for a scientific study conducted by prestigious entities with the equipment you want to buy.
None of them, except us, will show it to you because the capacity to neutralise acids, the antioxidant capacity and the emission of magnesium are diluted in the acid of the stomach.
Only Alkanatur carries out scientific studies on which we base our claims.
